[QUOTE=TommypSS/TC;5502917]You could have just said led halo. Then we all would know what you meant. Still, I don't think this is going to be bright enough to see very well, especially during the day./QUOTE]

QFT. I did this years ago before anybody even made any how tos and i wasn't bright at all. Like to the point where it wasn't really worth my time.

Well i'm hopin they'll be bright enough, but there's only one way to find out. I just wish the cobalts had clear tail lenses.

I've just posted a new picture as well. this one utilizes a different housing material that brightens the halo a significant amount compared to the first one. I'm also going to use a slightly less resistent resistor for more light ***********. also keep in mind i'm using blue lights which are not quite as bright on the light spectrum compared to white which would be used in the final stages of my project.

I also understand there's gonna be a few guys on here who don't like these, i appreciate the criticism, but it's all the more reason for me to continue with my project to prove those guys wrong.

those lenses would actually be perfect, but i wouldn't wanna drop 90 bucks on something i'M trying to save money on in the first place. But once i get these installed and hopefully runnin right and people want these mass produced I'd be glad to wire them up for someone who has these tails.

I would gladly do that good sir, I actually just ordered my super bright l.e.d's in white, about five times the brighteness i've currently got. They'll shine through anything! ha ha. I'm also ordering a spare set of reverse tails from a guy on here as soon as he gets back to me today so i can start actually fitting these. I'll also get more brightness with the correct resistor. they would look really slick in a clear lens too, I'll come up with a more finished product for ya real soon to show you what it would look like in a clear lens. I need to work on a casing that covers that ugly side of the lights. ha ha. DART SI go ahead and shoot me a pm. I'm gonna be working on a more final prototype tonight,

Sound junky, I'd love to get a hold of your spares if possible, I'd use them for prototyping and give ya a set when they're done. Bpacak I've see nthose, they look good, but i'm looking to make a more "devil" eye look for the lights, soemthing different, light angel eyes but for your butt! ha ha

the only hard part i imagine is the wiring. i hate wiring but if it means sick tail lights ill learn real quick.

That would be perfect guys. Its much appreciated. Just shoot me pm's and we can work it out.

And for anyone who sends me lights, the first five sets are gonna be half price and ill covver return shipping fees just so I can get these off the ground for you guys!

Updates: my lights shipped today so I should see them soon, during my waiting ill be coming up with a few more designs, tonight I should be molding at least one new design, hopefully a full circle option. Thus far I've got half circle and 3/4 circle. More progress soon to come!

Only thing is my tails are tinted with that VHT. I might be able to get them off or you could also use them as a test.

VHT would be no issue for me. I've got tinted tails as well. It would be interesting to see how much they shine with tinted tails.

BPacak, unfortunately my design prohibits me from making a perfect circle, but I'll work somethin up for ya and we can see how it goes from there. I may be able to get damn near perfect for ya. but in have a feeling I'ts still gonna look like a halo with about an inch gap of black either way.

Also for those of you doubting how bright these just may be, the blue lights I'm using are 5,000 mcd. the white ones I ordered are 18,000
