Ok so i just got a G5 trunk lid. Its vic red and my car is an SS in sunburst orange. i want to shave the key hole and spoiler. But what will i do for reverse lights? any ideas? Maybe something custom?

Should i use that "magnum steel" to fill all the holes?

I was gonna do custom tail and end up with some sort of lights down in that lower bumper mesh. figured they'd be less noticeable but still there.

It'll fit on the car the one kid was selling a black one had had on his balt a while back. There were pics and all.

 

On the coupes, the G5 and Cobalt trunk lids are the same, aside from the obvious difference that one has holes for reverse lights and the other doesn't. I don't know where all the confusion came from. It's just like back in the Cavalier/Sunbird days. Same car, same parts more or less.

Anyway, for the reverse lights, you could buy a set of fog lights or something and mount them back there somewhere, or you could try to fab in the G5 reverse lights into your bumper, but that requires some mean bodywork to pull off. You could get the G5 bumper as well but then you would need the outer tails too.

 

i thought of the skyline look too mount the smaller cobalt reverse lights the same way as the r34
