Please Help Niteshade

talk about bad luck, i put my night shade on and only covered my bumper up with newspaper i was outside in the cold. i had NO clue it would leaked it was taped so well. anywho, i go to school the next day in the snow. come home park in the garage to wash and this white stuff on my backend wont come off. in a nutshell, its a combination of niteshade and salt from the road. how can i get this off without damaging the paint! please!

I don't understand why you didn't just remove the lights from the car in the first place? its easy..

But try some goo gone, maybe some bug and tar remover or even a claybar. just a few suggestions

tried goo gone, tried bug and tar... i just dont want to damage the paint under it.

my next step is laquer thinner AS LONG AS IT WONT REMOVE MY ORIGINAL PAINT. if that doesnt work then my friend said he will buff it. does that sound reasonble before i do something dumb

I'd buff it before you use that. I'm not sure if it will eat through the clear coat or what

Try clay bar. With lacquer thinner you'll need to take it off RIGHT AWAY after every use. basic water and soap should take it off. don't use towels, use the absorbing ones.

You could wet sand it with 1000 grit sandpaper and buff it all out so it will shine again. That's if you know how to do it. I learned that while working at a body shop
