do not heat your springs. im a mechanid. springs are tempered steel. if you heat them up they become a lot more fragile. if you want to lower your car vut the springs. ive seen what heating a spring can do. spring snaps and parts go flying. and on your car they can break also. so moral of the story. if you want to lower the car. deff. cut the springs and not heat them up.

where can you find bowtie overlays. I want black chevy symbols, but I don't wanna paint them. I guess I could use plastidip, but that seems hard too vs just buying overlays lets say from Motor City Vinyls

honestly, if you wanna go low do it the right way and buy lowering springs, not ******* on your idea it is better then heating them, but it can also mess up your struts and then cause you to have to replace the springs and struts.

heres a cheap awesome mod i did,,,

chrome vents for the cobalt

go to autozone and get the chrome door molding,, not sure if you need 1 or 2 packs, but its 3 dollars for a pack, you have to somehow figure out the length of the vents inside the air vents located on the dash,, easiest way is cut a piece and keep trimming until it slides on, then duplicate that piece enough times to cover the vents,, i payed 30 dollars off ebay, but this time im doing them myself for nowhere near that price spices up interior quite a bit and is very cheap

im all about the cheap mods that are fun

What about hollowing out the cat isn't to hard. Most (if not all) cats are honey comb shaped which is pretty easy to hollow. No need to buy something to put in it's place if you just remove it.

Move trunk poppers, as stated above, until you reqlize that most of the time you need your seat droppes is when your putting something in the trunk

Paint bowties, tape off silver very carefully n use a razor to push it in the cracks, scuff with 320 or finer, mist w the color of your choice a few times. Once its dry remove tape.

Ventshades. Weathertechs are a bit more than autozones but look oem

Neffywrap. Instant carbon fiber for any part

Wideband, interceptor etc. Guages in your cluster. 2" pvc, some bondo and skill will have you under 20 bux and a good lookin piece

Led for trunk. I think my 12 led lite was 10 bux w universal adaptors. My trunk lites up like a spaceship

Wire a reverse relay into your. Lites that turn on w map lites, add autozone led strips under dash and seats to see like its daytime when your doors open

Covering the e-brake with suede and adding a boot. Costs less then $20 if you know what you're looking for parts wise and looks great.
