I'm sure you could make it work with a little time and patience... Just gotta wire up a light and find some way to make it shine right.

This would definately be cool, but like the rest of you, I haven't a clue about how to do it.

it would be sweet to some how loose the backup light(no white) in the inner taillights, to get the corvette look, and then get the reverse lights from the g5

Get outta my head damnit! I've talked about this exact setup of all four red tails w/ g5 reverse lights for 3years, but am too lazy to mess with electrical stuff. I'd start a fire or blow somethin up

That was me. I have a few ideas that I have been thinking about for the reverse lights. This winter I will be getting a spare set of reverse lights and playing around with a few of my ideas. Here is are some resent pics of my tails for you.

Yeah, I would say to make them all light up, just tap the power wire from the original brake light.

I'm getting a spare set. The outers are staying LED. The inner (outer Circle) will be red and illuminate in a ring like the outer. The Inner where the white reverse light will be red and the new turn signal bulb.

Then after everyone brought it up the G5 looks like a nice idea.

I am going to wire the turn signal to both the exterior lamp where it is, then where the white reverse lights use to be. So you will see two Circles flash red when the turn signals are on.

I'm just having trouble thinking of the best way to make the white part of the lense red. I could use acyrlic plastic and melt a new lense with added red dye, but then I would have to do both the interior and exterior lenses. I could use fiberglass to make a mold then use ABS Plastic and red dye to do the same, but the same problem. Red transparent paint is gong to look cheap. We have a hot knife that would cut out the white part, but to make it red again by attaching another red lense cover would probably be hard to make look good and not tacky.

Anybody know of any lenses that are completely red that are about the same size or style as the interior lights? I know the Passats, but I am talking about the exterior lense, not the actual circut board part.

or maybe the tansparent red and a light nightshades black... but i see the problem with trying to make it blend together... how about buying a spare outer tail light and using that as a cover

i did it to myne. What i did was create halos using 2 LED's per halo and stuck them in the rear tailights. It looks cool, but it could be a little brighter.
