get a buddy to help you. Also be sure the first time you close it to do it gently to check the alignment. Also spend the time to get it aligned right. Nothing looks worse then uneven gaps on a hood.

Good luck and post up pics when you are done!

Yeah im going to deff take some pictures i was just wondering if i should use the gas shock to hold the hood up, ive read that its too strong for the hood.. but i have a friend with a double sided VIS cf hood on a cavi, and the gas shoc works fine, but i have read from other people that its no good?

true, im also currious about the gas shocks on the hood. i know some people on here got them and they need to chime in and give some advice so take this as a bump on weather or not the stock props are too much or not. but if not you know you can just take them off. youl have to get an aftermarket manual hood prop rod but will work

I have taken mine off.It bows the lightwieght hood when its closed from the pressure the hood strut is under.

DO not use th gas shock, it does not let the hood sit down all the way, and you will want to invest in some washers of some sort to make it sit flush.

With any aftermarket hood you should be cautious with the clip that holds the hood down. Alot of companys do not build them strong enough and eventually your hood could fly up. Its not garunteed the latch will break but its to be cautious I guess.
