installing ss spoiler on lt cobalt
But, in all seriousness, because it's your car, and you can do what you want, i don't think there is a template available. You may just want to look into swapping trunk lids, or ask a buddy if you can take measurements of his SS to get the placement right.
Get a body kit and look at this spoiler to see if you will like this one better.

theres no template/ what i did in my autobody class was open the trunk which u will see four round circles that is designated for the spoiler screws sit. what i did was held the wing over the trunk put a dab of lotion on the bolt tips only and sat it right where i wanted the spoiler. once u lift the wing up you will have 4 marks of lotion on the trunk. get a lever and make sure its even then use a "pincher" (tool that pushes onto sheet metal to make a mark) look under the trunk and make sure the marks look center in the circles you see and use this as your guide to drill, now remember drill small and work ur way up. but to save the hassle just trade trunks
With the spoiler off the car, take a piece of paper and mark where the holes are on the paper.
Line the holes on the paper with the spoiler holes. Tape the paper onto the spoiler
Put the spoiler on the car with the paper attached - place spoiler where desired with the paper between the car and the spoiler holes. Then tape the paper onto car.
Remove spoiler from paper leaving the paper on the car.
So now you know where to make holes since you have the paper with the holes drawn and measured on the car

Most aftermarket spoilers also come with these plastic X's designed to either go in threaded holes or on studs. Once spoiler is measured and positioned on car correctly with these in place, you tape them down, and have a perfect guide for a pilot hole in the center. I went as far as ordering these when doing a project on a past car, I believe through Erebuni if they still exist.
I still have these but they're back home in MI.
