Intercooler Mesh Removal

hey guys i removed the mesh grille in front of my intercooler for looks, could this cause me problems with things hitting the intercooler? like rocks bouncing up or anything? thanks for the help

The SS/SC did not come with a guard down there. Although you will get pitting and bent fins on your intercooler, for the most part you would be okay. I know when I had my SS/SC, I always wanted the lower grill like the 2.4L guys had because I wasn't a big fan of the open look and I would have liked the extra protection in winter.
