K2 vs IPCW taillights
Now that the rest of the car is blacked out, thinking about blacking out/replacing taillights.
Just wanted opinions on which ones are better/brighter and why they're better...
I have a set of IPCW tails (crystal clear/chrome) that I wanted to retrofit into stock ones and black them out with rattle can tint.
Then changed my mind, ordered K2 smoked LED tails to disassemble and fit IPCW internals into them to have tinted look without reducing transparency and keeping my stockers.
But now another idea yet, if the K2 motors leds are just as bright as IPCW, maybe I'll just use them add they are...
Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.
Edit: here's the picture of the tails a they are. If I go with any blacked out setup, 3rd brake light and side markets get blacked out with Rustoleum lens tint and some clear.

The K2 lights arn't crazy bright, but they are LED's, so they're still bright.
Just get white LED reverse light bulbs for them or do the Skyline mod.
I've heard the K2 lights are a bitch to take apart and put back together.
It's dark out so this is all I have for now, but I'm sure you know what they look like on the car, for reference for other people's opinions though.

Question,
There is no way to shave down, or sand down the inner one to make it flush with the trunk????
Does anyone have a picture or pictures of the ipcw tail lights inside part??? Or back part? Can't seen to find one to see if possible.
I have K2 but they got opaque, I have to use a wax product to make clear and shiny. But it goes away fast.
I might think of going back to OEM material. Probably that's the issue.

i have custom led tails used with stock lights!
they look amazing! I will post pics when i get home but they are the outer and inner.
for the outer tail there is an outer ring which is running. than inside that ring is a inner ring which is turn signal AND brake.
than for the trunk tails they function as running only.

Thank you everyone. Keep them coming....
Right now I have platinum series LEDs running in my stockers, they're bright, but I want the smoked out look. I might run K2s as they are and then, while I have the stock lights out, I might retrofit IPCW into them, or just sell them and keep the stock tails...
Retrofitting IPCW into K2 was the original reason why I ordered the K2s, but K2s don't look too bad as they are.
I'll have to plug in K2 LED tail on one side and IPCW on the other and compare the brightness.

So while waiting for the K2s I "smoked" IPCWs to match the blacked out car and installed them. Thread is here:

Thank you for all the opinions.

So while I was changing from my IPCW to K2 LED tails I shot a quick video for comparison of brightness. They're just as bright, just not 2 rings (skyline style).
The IPCWs are sitting in the garage, as well as the stock tails. If I find time sometime this winter, I might combine the two together (stock housings - love the circular reflectors, and IPCW internals, obviously for the light output).
Anyways, here's the video. K2 on the left, IPCW on the right.
