The factory nuts just cut into the plastic and make new threads

 

Exactly.They are called speed nuts.They cut there own threads

 

i used one factory nut per side, then had to use a regular nut on each side cause one post was smaller than the other.

Yea the stock speed nuts were to big so i used a vice and crushed them to size. worked fine.

yea I put resistors in mine after a week of having hyper flash.**** was annoying

 

I hate the hyper flash.. dont know how people deal with it lol.

 

haha i've been dealing with hyperflash forever now, i'm in for the 'how to'!

and you guys should start retrofitting these so that they have 2 led rings! i'm sure almost everyone who has a set of these (more and more ppl keep asking where i got mine and now they have them) would probably want to retrofit twin led rings.

How to is simple.They are plug and play but the connector does need to go in a certain way for them to work,so a "How-to" will help people if they get stumped with the speed nut problem and getting the connector in the right way and also installing a resistor.

 

^ i think he means for the resistor for the Hyper flash.

this is going to make me wish i bought the LED's instead of just the smoked regular lights
