L.E.D. Lights

So my mother bought a new CTS just a while ago.
Today when she was reversing I noticed she had LED reverse lights that gave off that almost HID look.
I WANT!!
Does anyone know how or if this can be done or better yet where I can get the parts that I need to do it?

easy man. just replace your clear reverse bulb with an LED bulb. a multi LED bulb would probably do the trick!

Thanks for the info guys.

One more question, I would only need to put resistors on the LED's if I were using them as turn signals, correct?

What I'm saying is I should not need to use resistors in this case.

You do not need a resistor in the reverse light...

For all my LED needs I go to www.v-leds.com as they have the most selection and best products IMO.

I use these in my reverse lights: http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

My camera has issues capturing colors right at night, they are more white than blue but there is a blue tint to them. The plate bulb I use is a 194 flank bulb.

^^^^^check out this:

www.sylvania.com

And go to your model/make/year of your car. It has every bulb size that is in/out of your car.

LED and stock bulbs all have the same "bulb" size. So just find what number it is, and find it on a bulb web site.

I personally use: www.superbrightleds.com

They are great and fast with shipping.

On the sylvania website it says the map lights are:

Map light
2825LL

I read that the map lights are 194 on this site??

They are, I used 194 LEDs for my map lights in the mirror and in my dome light. A 2825 bulb basically looks just like a 194, very little difference really.

sounds good.

Thanks

Which LED's would you recommend for the map lights?

SMT LED or the standard 6 LED bulb?

If you are going with www.superbrightleds.com this is what I bought.

194 4 White L.e.d.'s wedge bulb. Bright enough for me.

6 would be good too.
