Kinda looking into this too, but to me there seems to be a big gap between buying these and the finished product. By the looks of it, the LED's are not plug and play. So that leads me to wonder how to wire them (prob. just your generic + and -) but than how is it mounted? I don't see it mounting up like the stock bulb. Anybody got a how to??? thanks

They are plug n play.

I bought two sets of bulbs from superbrightleds.com and you just replace them with the stockers.

Any LED bulb designed for automotive use is completely plug and play. The LEDs are designed specifically to fit where regular filament bulbs normally go. So if you buy LEDs that are numbered as 194, they will fit in any socket a normal 194 bulb would. The only thing I have found is that some types pf LED bulbs require a bit more force to click in to the socket, as the part of the bulb with the contacts can be a little thicker than a regular bulb. But other than that, it's easy as pie. I've replaced just about every light bulb on my car with LEDs and they were all a plug and play installation.

k i want the reverse light for my tails. i want to get them from superbright led.s
now i bought a dome light off them before and it wasn't as bright as i thought it would be.. it wasn't as bright as the factory bulb because it barely lit anything up in my car. it worked but it didn't light up as much as i thought it would so i didn't use it.

does anyone know if the ones from superbrightleds.com are any good opposed to the other sites listed on the thread

also

on here

http://superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/s...gi?product=CAR

the ones i need are the ones listed 921-x9 Wedge Base LED bulb correct?

thanks for the info, i used v-leds over superbright and oznium. they had better prices even with shipping.

i used 2 of the 5 LED for the pushbutton domelight, the 20-Led festoon bulb for the cargo area dome, and the 19SMT Leds for the maplights up front. very good and extremely bright. was about $48 shipped for all 5 lights and worth it.

i have an hhr by the way. looking at some Eibach Sportlines next week and HIDS on their way from ddm.

maybe 20's, maybe...

To be honest, that bulb type will very likely light up very little at night, and be damn near invisible during the day. I'd recommend the ones I listed above over those any day of the week.

yeah the led bulb i got for my dome light was garbage. it didn't light anything up at night
like say i wanted to look for something in my glove box couldn't because it wasn't bright

That's basically the exact same bulb. Are you on a budget for these lights, or are you able to spend more to get something that will do what you're looking for? I'm not trying to sound mean, it's just that those small bulbs are cheap for a reason. If you want something that can actually light up what's behind you at night and be bright enough to be seen during the day, you have to go with the SMT bulbs at minimum. The $35 lights give you the brightness shown in my pic way up above, they're the M-SMTs, 36 LEDs per bulb as opposed to six.

no im not really on a tight budget. i just want something thats white and looks good. are the 35 dollar bulbs for 2 or for 1? if its for 2 i would buy them but if its for 1 bulb its kinda more than i wanted to spend. seeing there 35 a bulb

let me know

k i was looking on the site

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

i would buy that since its for 2 and the 35 dollar ones seem as if its only for 1 bulb.

also do they have the dome light? i want a blue one that is really bright and not cheap. i have had 2 blue ones so far and they were crap. one was a mood light the other i bought from superbrightleds.com and wasnt bright at all.

I would personally go with the 35 dollar ones because they will be brighter and if you have tint the added brightness will help you out on dark nights.

idk i don't want it too bright

did you get ur dome light V-LED.com
i want a blue one that is super bright

the one from superbrightleds.com was garbage.

k so i believe the dome light is a 561. where can i get one that is super bright. as bright as the factory bulb
because i want it to look good and actually work. as in if i need light in my car be able to turn it on and be able to see stuff with it rather than it look good just for looks

also when i installed the led one from superbrightleds.com after the light like dimmed it was still on but verry dim. do all the led dome lights do this because i heard they don't use a lot of power.

I posted a link earlier in this thread to my how-to for installing a dome light, I have pictures there at the end showing what kinda light I get with it. My dome light uses one 561 bulb and two 194s, and I have pics showing how bright the interior is.

Look at the pics at the bottom of my how-to. The middle one shows just the main dome light on, which is the 561 bulb. Most of the light in the interior in that pic is from the dome light, since the mirror's map lights don't illuminate much at all.

yeah im not sure if i should even order it or not
does anyone know for a fact this one is brighter than the ones from superbrightled.com?

yeah im going to order one now and see how it is

well actually before i order, NCC-2000 can you tell me if yours stays on very dim when you have the light set to go on when you open the door
when i close my door on the led from superbrightleds.com it stayed on but very very dim. i took it out because it wasn't bright enough. but even if i kept it in i didn't like that
does this one from v-leds do that?

Led's stay on all the time in the car. They dim down when not in use.

For me in my car, those leds are bright enough for me. Each to their own i guess

you should have ordered this domelight. it works in the 561 spot.
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

i installed these on the click button portion of my domelight, i chose the smaller units for space and because they wont get used alot
http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...37246251238251

these are in my maplights up front
