I think that if your going to get made fun of in a Cobalt SS. It will be because your car looks purple. and it really does.

ya....its got way too much of a purple tint.

 

I think it'll be very immature to make fun of anyone for the color of their car. I love laser blue, and can't wait to get it. And when I do, I'll be making fun of you when I'm down at the end of the quarter mile waiting for you to catch up

 

Alright don't start a war over the color of your cars now. Remember just b/c you don't like it doesn't mean you can crack on them you can voice your opinion but don't put someone down b/c of it. Personally I like the color of the car, but think there are better ones but to each his own, I found a pic on here with someone who just got it in Laser Blue doesn't look to shabby!!!!

That is an Arrival Blue Metallic '06 SS SC'd not a Laser Blue Metallic one. They don't start production until October on the new Laser Blue Cobalts!

 

hehe, yeah, check my sig. and since that is my car, I know it is Arrival Blue

it was cloudy (just began to rain minutes after that) so the different light conditions make it look darker etc.

If I had a day to kill I could drive around here and locate some of the Impalas and such that I have seen in Laser Blue and park next to em and snap a comparison picture... but I dont have that kind of time to waste heh

 

If you ever find the time, I'd love to see a side by side Arrival/Laser Blue comparison. That would be cool! I haven't seen a new Impala in the color yet, only Malibus and Equinoxs.

the sunburst orange is an awesome color on a cobalt.

 

I have seen the new impala in that color, it looks nice. I would like to see the cobalt in that color I think it would be good for it. I am also a fan of the Arrival Blue

 

I am only a fan of arrival, i haven never liked the laser. i don't get GM on the decision to scrap the arrival...

wellmy 06 LS is sunburst my only mod as of now was adding aftermarket power windows and locks its pretty cool the custom shop put these accessories on with gm consent also my power lock is to the right of the shifter on the console but hey its mine and it works

I wanted a Blue Cobalt so badly. I love the Arrival Blue. I am just not sure of the Laser Blue. It looks good when it is blue, but it is gross when it is purple. I have seen it in person and that is why I decided on red instead. In the pics, the Laser Blue looks pretty good, but from what I saw in person it is almost purple sometimes. So I'm playing it safe and going red. Would have liked blue, but I can live with red. Better than taking my chances with Laser Blue.

Finally got close to an Equinox in Laser Blue. I've passed one a few times going the other way, but I saw one and caught up to it as I was leaving work yesterday. I followed it for about 10 minutes. It was sunny, so I saw it under bright light, as well as in the shade through a valley. It was a little dirty, but not too bad.

Anyhow, am I ever happy I did not order Laser Blue!!!! I don't understand how they call this 'blue'???? It is totally purple. It is kinda blue-ish at times, but nothing like in GM's photos! It is a horrible blue! I seriously encourage anyone thinking about this color to see it in person, because I find it hard to believe that it is the same color as in GM's official photos of Laser Blue vehicles. In their Malibu SS pics it looks really bright! It is like a dark navy purple in person. Not bright at all!

If you are getting a "Laser Blue Metallic" Cobalt, please go find a Monte-Carlo, Malibu, Impala, or Equinox in the color and see it for yourself! It is not really blue, and if you are expecting a nice true blue, you will be sick to your stomach when you see your car! Some people may like it, but Arrival Blue is so much better in my opinion. My advice, if you like arrival blue, and can't get a Cobalt in it, choose another color than Laser Blue, unless you like purple adn blue! Then you may love it!

I mean no offense to anyone who likes the color, because that is a matter of personal taste, but I think many people will be dissapointed with what they end up with if they get it!

 

My car was built last week, and I should be getting it either monday or tuesday, so I'll post pictures when I have them. I'm told I'm one of the first 10 to be painted

from what I've seen the laser blue on a HHR, looks awesome in certain light, but for the most part it does look purple.

 

I like the CHarcal Grey On the 03+ silverados... i think that would look beautiful on the ss

 

Its basically a version of Blue Granite on the Cobalts . Otherwise known as Cyclone grey on the gto's , stealth grey on the G6 and GP ect.

I wish GM would offered it on the SS too . IT woulda looked sweet with red insert interior .
