It actually hurts to look directly into this domelight. And that big ass sticker was only for the purpose of the photograph.

Btw, i replaced my map lights with Blue LED bulbs and they are insanely bright, you can seem them in my sig picture from the outside.

They light up the whole dash and front seat at night.
I have a flank LED bulb for my license plate light.

I plan on doing the reverse, license, and dome lights too.

I just need to know if the 194 bulb is the replacement for the 562 bulb for the dome light.

They're more white than blue, the camera never captures the light right.

Not even close. The two bulbs are completely different.

GET THEM FROM www.superbrightleds.com

I did, and I had no trouble with them as of now.
So did you get the loop dome and the two rear lights?

I am not sure if I understand the light numbers... from what I can read it seems like the 194 lights are the two in the back of the dome assembly, and the longer front one is called a SMD or something? I am looking on the website you mentioned and the only loop light there is "Rigid Loop Festoon bulb with SMD LEDs". Is this the one you got? And if so, what color? I am thinking blue might look bad... maybe Cool White would be nice...

The big long bulb in the dome light is a 561 bulb. I got mine from www.v-leds.com, works great and is bright as hell.

Which one of the 194's did you get??? I am wondering about fitment... there is one type there for 24.99 the Blue 27 SMT lights... are they physically small enough to fit into the dome assembly? And do you have a picture with just your dome light on so I can see? I would like to know if blue is practical for when I actually need a light to read or something. Your opinion please.

-Thanks

I used the flank bulbs they sell for my dome light since the dome has no reflectors it's pointless to use a bulb that shoots light in all directions IMO. This way all the light the bulb makes is fired down into the car.

I see what you mean... so I guess you are happy with those?

Well considering my car never came with a dome light, once I put one in and put these bulbs in, I never had to fumble for stuff in the dark again.

I bought a set of the 2W 4-SMT White LEDs from V-LEDs for my mirror lights. They were too thick and V-LEDs acknowledged that they were all made this. The PCB is too thick to insert into standard 194 sockets, but these are 80 lumens (about 6.4 MSCP aka "candle power") twice the output of a 168 bulb, in 6000K LED white. It was literally a night and day difference. When I open the door in the dark, it's almost like the sun is shining through the sunroof. I don't recommend these particular LEDs because they're too thick for the socket.

I use blue LEDs for the courtesy lights in the Mustang and the dome light in the Crown Vic. They're kind of novel at first and they make fluorescents sort of glow in the dark so they're perfect for reading highlighted maps. Blue and red LEDs would be great for use in the dark because they don't hurt your night vision.

Nearly all the LED bulbs I buy for 194 sockets are too thick to easily fit, but I've never found one that wouldn't go in eventually. Yeah it's a tight fit but all mine went in.

The one I bought was 2.5mm thick, the spec is 2.2mm. All of the 168/194 LEDs I have purchased in the past fit just fine and some are actually a bit loose. The problem with this particular design was the actual PCB (circuit board) was 2.5mm which makes it next to impossible to insert into the sockets. I had extra 194 sockets lying around that wouldn't take these LEDs. I had to grind down the unused traces and PCB. I cut too deep and soldered in a copper jumper wire, but eventually got them to fit - overall it was a PITA and I recommend you don't buy them: 2W, high power, 4-SMT white LED from V-LEDs, they fire straight down so they're perfect for the mirror lights.

I have some white flanked LEDs from V-LEDS that fit perfectly in the trunk light socket, but keep in mind these aren't that bright.
