LED Domelight Question

I am looking to replace the stock interior domelight 561 bulb with an LED since the stock one doesn't really put out enough light to see much. I have searched though some of the previous threads, and some people on here have mentioned that after converting to an LED light their dome will stay on. They said that after the domelight goes from fully illuminated and slowly dims off, the LED light will constantly stay illuminated but be very dim. I don't know if this is something that occurs with the LED stlye bulbs or the LED light pannels.

My question for you all that have swapped to an LED bulb in the domelight, are you experiencing this same problem? If not, where did you get you LED light from?

i put a led bulb in and it stayed verrrry dim when the light was off. but it doesnt do anything power wise or drain your battery.
i took the bulb out because it didnt sit tight so everytime i closed my door the bulb would rock causing it to flicker and it was bugging me. members on here and the other forum told me to tighten the arms where the bulb connects to. but that only made worse and resulted in the bulb not staying in contact with the arms and making it so wen i opened my door the light wouldnt turn on. so i went and bought a new dome light assembly and put the stock bulb in and said forget it with the led.
i also blew fuses too when trying to get the bulb to sit tight and not wiggle.

It's not the power draw that I am concerned with, jsut the fact that it will be constantly illuminated. I'd find it pretty annoying, especially at night

My mirror lights do that, but my dome light ones stay off completely. You have to be in a pretty pitch black area to even notice anything with mine, so it shouldn't be that big a deal. It's not like they can light anything up when they're like that.

click the camera next to my name, look interior lighting pics i did.
Yes the feed back in the mirror lights with leds r cuased by the fact that leds r very sensitive to current and there would need to b a diode to prevent the back flow of current, or u can use one led bulb and on regular bulb in the mirror.
Personally i installed 6 high powered white led into the interior, two for the rear area (one on each side of car).
then up front there is one on each side of the floor for pass and driver, as well as one on each side the top of the A pillars. I wired them into the mirror light output thus giving me full control via the mirror switches and the stock fade when powering down. left button lights three leds, two up fron5t and one in rear. The right switch activates the three leds on the passanger side (two upfron and one in rear). thus increasing the light output immensly.
