LED flasher relay instead of resistors??
Before any of you start to complain, I've searched and searched and searched before posting this. I'm pretty good at figuring things out but sometimes it's best just to ask before I mess something up. I think all of you would agree..
I've seen LED flasher relays that you can use instead of resistors. They work with LED AND filament bulbs, doesn't matter which you have, they will blink at the same rate.
I can't find our flasher relay for ****. I've check the fuse box under the hood and in the pasanger side panel. NOTHING says flasher relay, turn signal relay or anything of that sort. Is it called or labeled something different?
Please post a picture or a clear description on where to find it so I can look at it and order the correct flasher relay for my car.
I hate my resistors, they make me nervous how hot they get...
Here's a link to the floor fuse box

You couldn't find one because there isn't one.
The bcm (body control module) controls the flashing of the turn signals. If it senses low current (bulb out or leds installed) it flashes fast as a warning.
Afraid you got to go with resistors. I wouldn't worry too much about the heat, they are only getting warm when the turn signal / brake light is on anyways

DaBuzzard nailed it on the head.
This question has been asked numerous times.
Anyways, as far as the resistors go, they won't get hot enough to cause issues. IF you want to draw heat away from the resistor, you could just mount them with thermal tape to the metal unibody.

That's what I did. Muffler tape in fact. The only reason why I decided to mount it is because when I was in the Mc D's drive through for freaking 15 minutes, the resistor got hot and it was touching the carpet lining of the trunk and started to burn a hole in the carpeting. Little smoke, nothing bad, you can't see the hole. So that's what it's making me nervous, but so far, after mounting it the the body with muffler tape, it's been fine.
