LED Interior Hookup
Alright so I just bought these lights for inside my 2009 LT http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4pc-7...item5636d6f838 and I have no idea how to hook them up because I am a Cobalt noob.
It came with a black and red wire which i know are (+) and (-)..
but i just wanna know what would be the best way to hook it up to the fuze box.
Any help is appriciated

Buy an add-a-circuit for mini fuses from Radio Shack and plug it into the sunroof fuse of your center console fuse box. Once you rip the cover of the fuse box off, there's a diagram on the back of it telling you which fuse is what... this is also in your owner's manual. Positive connects to this wire coming out of your add-a-circuit, and the negative is the ground wire which connects to any metal on the car (the entire chassis is a ground because the negative terminal of the battery connects to it).
Use a 5 or 10 Amp fuse in your add-a-circuit. Any further questions lemme know.

Yes your sunroof will still work; what the add-a-circuit will do is split the circuit so you can piggyback off the wires, but then will turn your lights off whenever your sunroof has no power, i.e. when you take the key out. You need mini automotive fuses. They'll know what those are at any store you go to... they're the same ones that are in both your fuseboxes.

Or if you are willing to run some wire..you could run it to your parking light fuse in your engine bay fuse box (same style mini fuse setup) that way they will only come on at night...with the sunroof one you will have them on all the time. or you could do as I plan on doing and just install a manual switch for them so I can turn them on and off whenever I want.
i have that same kit, mine was 15 dollars cheaper back when i bought it a year ago though..i first had it wired with a cigarette lighter plug in but after blowing fuses left and right i wired it straight to the battery and have had no problems since.
I just bought those same exact LEDs and i just ran wire to the battery. Then i have the controller sitting in the truck button drawer thing lol! It doesn't fall out or anything and its concealed very nice. By doing this i didn't have to worry bout messing with wires and fuses, which was best for me cuz this was my first ever install of interior lights too.
QUESTION: I need help!....... I have the LED GLOW 4pc expandable to 6 interior kit.... I've been currently wiring (+) into the grey pos wire on the back of the fog light switch..... But it keeps burning out!
what I want is for the control box to be wired to the car so the lights come on or off depending on daylight..... Except I don't have a sunroof......... It "was" working but not anymore..... The control box positive red wire already has a built in fuse holder so I dunno why you guys are talking about adding fuses.....
Any ideas on the best way to wire this up so I don't have to hard wire a switch and so the car DRL sensor does the work for me?

Here's why it's a good idea to add your own fuse: if your cheap add on lights **** up (they are far more likely to **** up than anything that comes from the factory on the car) then they are going to blow out whatever fuse they are attached to. I'm about to suggest to you that you connect your lights to the car's parking lamps, which automatically come on when the car senses darkness or you turn the headlight switch one notch.
There are a couple of fuses built into your running lamp circuit, but if you do a bad job of splicing into this circuit and you're crusing down the freeway at night and these fuses randomly blow... not good. It's always a good idea to separate what you're adding to the car from the factory stuff. I've put endless LED's into these cars and my Cavalier, I'm no expert, but have learned a lot from experience. Fuse your **** if you don't want to go outside and find a pile of burnt rubble where your Cobalt once was.
LOLZ..... Ok so what do you suggest: do I wire to the fog light fuse in the relay box under the hood, or to the DRL which (if I remember correctly) is located at the 2nd fuse panel-center console passenger side?
