which LED tails?

Im thinking about getting some LED bulbs for my tail lights. Im hoping to make my tails a bit brighter b/c since my tails are pretty much blacked out my brake lights and **** aren't very bright. Im probably gonna get them from v-leds.com. im just wondering which bulbs would be my best bet. I was thinking that these: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/T...72056-1-2.html would probably do the trick but i remember reading somewhere about certain bulbs not fitting through the hole in the housing. what do you guys think?

I also think i'm gonna get some of them badass switchbacks for my front turn signals and im wondering what resistor i need for all for corners, 3 or 6 ohm?

Those bulbs will not fit, they're the wrong socket type. The tails and front signals use 3157 bulbs. For the tails I would get these: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/B...34413-1-2.html or if you're feeling really crazy get these http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/B...72879-1-2.html

How do these compare to ebay tail light full assemblies? I'm debating which direction to go.

i mustve accidentally hit the wrong link for those 1157's... as far as the second ones go, wouldnt i have to pull the lens off of the tail light housing to get those in? cuz i really dont feel like doing that.

still wondering what ohm resistors i need....

I have a set like this

I got them used of a member here for 80, plus they have the resistors built in so they are plug and play with normal blinker speed, and they are super bright

I got some LED ones off ebay like.. almost a year ago, and have not had one problem.
Mine came with reverse lights too.

Any set of SMT towers will work fine.

But at 70$ a pair, you're better off just spending 99$ on a set of eBay housings.

If you look at the thumbnails of the resistor in the link posted above you will see that you need a 25ohm, 25 watt resistor.

Good point, but I would use the 25 ohm myself.

3 or 6 wont matter.
i have switchback leds and i have 6 ohm. there better if you have a lot of leds. people say to get 3 but vleds was out of stock and they told me to get 6 ohm. and they work fine.

order from vleds. i never liked superbright leds. i ordered from them before and i found the products to be cheap. vleds is high quality stuff with good customer service.

Will these fit or will they be too long? The other ones I've been looking at have been out of stock for like two weeks and I'm getting impatient! I think I'm just going to get these with the 3 ohm resistors and be hells bright.

im guessing they're gonna fit. those r the ones i was gonna get when i order everything. those are about 2.5" long total. our brake lights are pretty damn deep, im guessing way deeper than 2.5". when im not lazy i'll pop one out and stick a tape line down inside of it and see how deep it is.

so i got unlazy really quick (which is very unlike me haha) and i took a measurement. our tails are about 3.75" deep... pleeeeeeeeeeeenty of space
