Lets see hood vinyls

Hey guys just searched through 10 pages of vinyl threads and found lots of stuff about interior, trunk CF and roof vinyls.... What im looking for that is to do a large center piece of gloss black vinyl or possibly carbon fiber, not the whole hood but a wide center section that I have seen on a few cobalts here one guy in particular, actually had it done to his LS coupe with paint but I have seen it done with vinyl on other cars.

Just wondering if anyone else has done it and what lines/design they chose to follow on installing it. Also just want to know what size of vinyl to use. Any help appreciated thanks! Also, going to be doing the trunk as well but thats another story.

For some reason the one on the left reminds me of a 96-00 civic with that bumper on it..

Hey ^ that's my old ride, here's another pic

I thought about lining it up with the grill but in my opinion it looks a hell of
Alot better when it follows the body line

I've never done a hood but I've done plenty of vinyl work. Just clean the surface, spray a ton of Rapid Tac over where the vinyl will lay (make sure to spray around the border of where the vinyl will be) This will allow you to adjust the vinyl and get the bubbles out. And once it dries it gives it a much stickier backing. To get the bubbles out just use a rubber squeegee made for vinyl application. When you push a bubble to the edge some of the Rapid Tac fluid will come out each time.
