License plate

I want to take off my front license plate because it looks shitty as hell on a black car. is there a way to remove that bracket that the plate is hed in by? if so has anyone done this that can give me some pointers?

What year do you have?

On my 05 it has three plastic rivets to hold the black plate onto the bumper. Just drill a hole in the middle of each rivet with a small drill bit and they should come off.

Then just either plug them up.

There are actually 2 stickies in the How-To section.

My license plate was held on by 2 screws, and the black holder was held on by 3 screws. After I took the plate off, the 3 screws were right there...

3 rivets. i drilled right through mine in about 15 seconds for all 3. if its been on long you will see an outline where the plate was. sucks, but not as bad as having the plate
