Lighting question...

I went to J-Body auto show at the Lordstown facility last summer and they had a pre-production Cobalt SS supercharged for display. I noticed the turning signal lights were clear and had an amber bulb. Any idea if this config will make it to production?

probably not cause then they would have to stock a whole new set of bulbs and stuff at dealers to replace just the cobalt ss bulbs .

what lights r u talking about? the front turn signals have a clear cover, which is part of the whole headlight, with an amber reflector and amber bulb...

Take a closer look at a base Cobalt and the SS Supercharged headlight housing. You're right, the SS Supercharged has the config you mentioned, but all others have the amber cover and reflector.
