low beams mistaken for high

I haven't been on the site for a while, but I wanted to vent. I have an 06 ss/sc and I noticed people flashing at me when I first got it. I had halo lights for a year or so and then wasn't out at night much. Lately, I have been driving home from work after dark quite a bit. I rarely use high beams, but I get two or three cars a night flashing at me.

A few jerks have been so bold as to switch to high beam out of spite. It gets really annoying. My lights don't seem too high. I think they are just bright. Anyone else have this issue? It has been rainy lately, so I turned on my fog lights just to emphasize my high beams are not on. I hate it so much that people are still so stupid that they don't realize fog lights and high beams do not work at the same time. I had two people flash lights at me on the way home again tonight.

I just have the stock. I don't get why people don't get it though. I see HID lights all the time. I can clearly tell the difference when someone actually has high beams on. It isn't so much the flashing as people blinding me out of spite. It is stressful to drive at night because people randomly harass me or hit me with high beams. I think one truck even turned around and followed me with highs on, which really sucks on dark low visibility roads.

While I'm sharing, some guy pulled up at the pump next to me a week back. My pump kept kicking off. He says, "nice car, too bad you can't put gas in it." I ignore him. He says, "I'm glad that I grew up." I look and see he has a jeep. I explain that I paid 17k for mine and wish I could afford a 30k car so I could grow up too. His reponse is, "actually it was 32k." You are right, PA drivers are idiots.

Post a picture of your projector cutoff against a wall from a reasonable distance away

I bought retro fitted projectors with 4300K HIDs. I still get flashed everytime I drive at night... usually when im going up an incline and they are just rounding the top and getting all low beam. Then they turn their high beams on and leave them on, I counter this by turning my high beams on, lol.

If I didnt care about my car so much I would turn into the on coming lane and ram their ass, then sue them for having their high beams on and blinding me, hopefully totalling his car and putting him in the hospital as well.

Ya I've had trucks put their reverse flood lights on while I'm beside them, had people purposefully get behind me and throw their highs on (have 5% tint, highs don't bother me) and then proceed to ride my ass, the flashing doesn't bother me cuz I throw my highs on and it cuts my lights all together then they realize how stupid they are haha

Are you lowered?
I have had the same thing happen recently.
I never drive much in the dark in the past, so I can't say for sure, but I have a hypothesis that when we lower our cars, they become less "raked" and thus the lights aren't angled down as much.
Even though I am about three inches lower now, I have found that my lights still shine in people's rear view mirrors

stock bulbs by the way

That shouldn't matter, adjusting the headlights down would fix that. Also Cuda, how's the 4300k look? I know the 5000k is PURE white, but how much off white is the 4300k? Can't be much. I don't listen to pictures for color, camera's usually screw color up.

I run 4300k Osram D2S (stock lights from TSX) and i love them. they are white enough for my taste and it looks stock from the outside

a lot of ppl dont understand HID's, mostly ignorant red necks (at least in michigan) they're like bugs they just stare at the lights. I usually get brighted by the douches driving trucks with dims that are damn close to brights

ya, they're too buisy driving their building height trucks to realize their headlights are more blinding than a car with hids in stock housings.
