LS/LT Kit Swap?

Hey all...

Just an idea I've been tossing around in my head for a while... thought I'd get some of your views on it.

What do y'all think of doing a complete LS/LT body kit swap? Bumpers, Side skirts, and trunk (wingless or small wing)... lose all the SS badges... swap seats for some out of a 2.4 or LTZ with the black leather. Find some 17's with lug covers so noone can tell they are 5-lug. Make the car a complete sleeper... then go to shows and pass it off as a LS/LT that you have swapped the LSJ into.

I know it's kinda far fetched... but what y'all think?

LS and LT are the same thing... but if you mean change SS kit for the LT then that would be really stupid...

I like the sleeper idea, but I don't like the looks of the 2.2, well, ANYTHING. I'd say if anything go down to a 2.4 look.

I don't know about the ultimate sleeper, but I think it would be cool! not so much for going to shows and saying you did all this work, It would be pretty easy for someone to catch you in your lie (different gauges that really can't be swapped, for one) but I think it would be a really interesting thing to see, defiantly out of the ordinary and thats what everyone tries for anyways.

and you could do it for free, or make a few bucks, a lot of the ls guys want the ss body kits. I'd like one myself but I can't justify throwing money away on looks. and thats like dressing a donkey up as a clydesdale anyways.

after driving a sleeper for many years, its great! the cops don't mess with you, every punk kid with a fart can on their 96 thunderbird doesn't mess with you either. but when you get to beat up on someone with a real car in what looks like a plain old every day car, its a great feeling. do it!

You're making this too complicated. Simple way to make a SC look like a LT: Take off SS and supercharged badges and put on the LT badge on the rear decklid. All done! Now it'll look like a LT with the SS body kit. spoiler, and front fascia.

that's even WORSE

to the op, it's definitely a unique idea. but i think you'd be better of just taking off the park bench, ditch the badges, and get some smaller rims. i know you're going for the sleeper look, but most people wouldn't know which model cobalt drove by them anyways

i think this is kinda gay honestly... if you wanted to look like that you should of bought a 2.2 or 2.4 and just motor swap it... why take the ss/sc and make it a 2.2/2.4?
