thats like saying 2.4's hang with 2.0's well..yeah maybe when they have full bolt ons and cams

stock for stock, my description stands,

mod for mod, my description stands.

as for cloning your SS man, whatever makes you happy, at the end of the day its your car so dont let what people say effect what u do. needless to say, i laugh at people when i see them put "fake" badges on their cars *cough GTR-PRELUDE cough*

Indeed you are correct on two engine choices, rims and so on. The 9C1 is a Police Package, the Impala SS is/was the civilian model. Cosmetic changes were the main differences between the "models". With the exception of 9C1 Caprices were more fleet friendly, and heavier duty cooling systems, suspension, and a few other small things the Impys didn't get.
But it is still the very same car. 9C1 have the frame notched in order to fit the LT1 with its a/c compressor in, and the normal RPO Caprices didn't.
94-96 9C1 Caprice = 94-96 Impala SS
Normal Caprices like mine are a different story. It would depend on if they are cloning a 9C1 or just a normal Caprice, in relation to this matter.

"1994....LT1 (260HP) now available in the 9C1 Caprice. New 4300 V8 (L99) avail in the 9C1 Caprice. Impala with LT1 appears as a SS, similar to the 9C1 option code. More or less just came with cosmetic workings for public sale. ..."

"But Impala SS is more than just a one-dimensional stop-light sensation. A special ride and handling suspension derived from the Chevrolet law enforcement package"

That's dumb. Don't make your car something its not. Its an LT, not an SS. The money to actually make it an LS will not be less than an SS. you'd need to get the front, side skirts, and rear, the suspension, the interior, a super or turbo charger and labor, if you can't do all this yourself. All that money can be better spent on making your 2.2L faster and looking distinctive.

Putting ss badges all over an LT is pointless and no different than putting type r badges on normal integras and stuff.

BTW, I used to have a 2.2L....there is much more than just 'fast' that makes it an SS

Just spend 16.5k on my SS... and I'll deliver it to you.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/complete-cars-101/fs-usmcfieldmps-vic-red-ss-sc-110757/

It dyno'd 263whp before my tune. The tune made a 5 car difference. So its over 270whp.

You bought whatever you bought stick to the titles it has or get rid of them all together and have yourself a sleeper well as long as you get the turbo.

No the only people who get to use the SS badge are the people who paid close to $30,000 to walk around the site with an inflated ego and a raging hard-on

He's right --all it takes is $$$$.$$! If you put in the 2.4 or the 2.0SC you'll need all the modules too -- and all wiring. If you get all new parts they'd have to be programed or you'd need a donor car. Either way it's a big head ache!!!!

Besides, Cobalt fanatics will still be able to tell by the VIN:

AK = LS
AL = LT
AM = SS/NA and Sport
AP = SS/SC and SS/TC

dont try and make your car an SS try to make it yours. i'd much rather have a badass LT (i have an LT too) then an LT that's made to look like an SS. that's rice, imo.
