Magnaflow compatibility question

I really dont know where to post that has there is no Exhaust category in this forum.

So my question is, would a 2.0L (T/C) Magnaflow Exhaust (2.5 inches) fit on a 2.2L ?

I appreciate thank you

Shoud be posted in 2.2L tech. Anyways i believe it wil fit but if your a stock 2.2L it is smarter to go with the 2.2L exhaust by Magnaflow because you do not need that much flow.

If your going to turbo your car in the future then yes the 2.5" exhaust will be beneficial in the future and if you do turbo your car you may want to go to a 3" exhaust for even better flow.

a TC catback will not fit anyother cobalt unless you switch the catback to a 2 bolt flange or the DP to a 3bolt flange.

TC uses 3bolt while everyother cobalt uses 2bolts

^ this. The exhaust shop you take it to should be able to hack off the 3-bolt flange and replace it with a 2-bolt, but it might cost more than the price of just finding a SS S/C exhaust.

also, there is no magnaflow exhaust for the SS/TC. The one you are looking at is probably for the 2.0 S/C.
