Making a Custome Grill Insert.

Hey all,
So I am going to try to make myself some custom grill inserts for the upper and lower grills on my 07 SS/SC. They are going to be a diamond mesh pattern and should look pretty sharp when done. So I have tried the tracing method to out line my metal but I ain't no body shop mecahnic and i am having issues getting the right shap/ So I want to take off the upper factory grills to do a better job but I am having issues getting them off (good start eh?) Anyway's if any one knows how to take off the 2 upper grills please let me know.

Also I know there are alot of grill haters out there and I respect that but I am of the minority that likes them so I am really only looking for help not sarcasm.

Thanks for any help in advance.
