Ok, lets go about this a different way. I need to get some measurements. If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I need a measurement from inside wall of the 3rd brake light assembly as shown in the picture below. It should be approximately 11 inches.



I do not have one of these assemblies, so I cannot get measurements myself.

Nope, that is a picture of an Olds Alero 3rd Brake light. Which is the same as the Grand Am 3rd Brake light. It very well could be the same as the cobalt one, but since I don't own one, I don't have any way to confirm it.

That is a picture I took to demonstrate the measurement that I need.

Call a salvage yard. I bet you could find one very easily and cheaply.

 

Got the measurement today. Surprisingly enough, while I was getting my hub assemblies replaced in the LS, I got a Cobalt for a rental. Bout the same assembly as that of the N-body, but has a little nicer chrome design inside.
