Just wondering if anyone has tried both the Meguiars and Mothers clay bar? Does the Mothers one do the same job as the Meguiars one?

I using the Meguiars one right now, but at $24 a kit, it can get expensive. The Mothers one is only $10.

I've never used Mothers clay bar, but as far as waxes ans other cleaning/polishing goodies, Meguiars has worked alot better for me than Mothers has.

 

i have the mothers clay bar, and it worked just great for me, my paint is smooth as can be, and took the overspray off just fine, however i do prefer meguiars wax and stuff

 

I perfer four star ultimate clay over both.. But its hard, maybe impossible, to find at autozone, pepboys, etc. You would need to order it online.

 

I use almost all Meguires products. I didn't used to, but after trying the NXT products, they have proven to be some of the best on the market.

As for the clay bar, the reason the Meguires version costs more is because its probably a better product. Try both, compare, and see what you come up with

 

The NXT wax and car soap are amazing..
