Money back from Damage / body Kit

Since my father backed into my car causing 1,600 worth of damage I was thinking about using the insurance money to get a full body kit and then paint when I get the money..What do you guys think?

you should be able to do both, buy it and paint it for the money

Where did you get hit? Front or back? $1600 should be just enough to get a full front facia and have it painted and installed.

It will look much better if you just save and get it all done at once.

Well, given your case, I would not recommend it. If you need to replace a door panel and quarter panel, then that is all you will get to do. If you were replacing a front or rear facia, great, just replace it with the new style one that you want. I don't see how you are going to be able to replace a door and quarter out of $1600, and then expect to have any money left over for a body kit. Just go by the book on this one. Let the body shop fix your car right and let your insurance pay for it correctly.
