Mounting balasts for HIDs?

Mounting balasts for HIDs?

I ordered 6000k HIDs from vvme, install was goin well until mounting the balasts came up, just wanted to know where others with HIDs have mounted their balasts? If you could help me out id make it much easyer.

i drilled small holes in the headlight cradle and bolted them to the underside.

thanks for the help
they said to drill it to some sheet metal but if it works for you it works for me
saves me a lot of time, ill let you know how it goes

Double sided tape and under the headlight bracket. Works wonders.

i did the tape it comes with plus self tapping screws. no problems

be careful when using self tapping screws, you could crack the plastic. I suggest drilling a hole one size smaller than the screw, then screw it in.

some industrial strength velcro under the headlight bracket. Easy to get off if you need to.

got the hids working
thanks for the help
i drilled holes then used the bolts given to secure them in place seems to work fine
ill try to get some pics on my profile of the finished result

Under the Headlight Brackets...I used industrial strength velcro.

That is the most convenient spot...it fits ballasts perfectly...it's almost like GM wanted us to do that.

I say velcro...i used double-sided tape and electrical tape (i dunno why - stupid!).

ive always wanted to do mine in the foglights, maybe ill get around to it when we have the front end off for the front mount.....
