Muffler

Hey guys I'm thinking about putting a flowmaster super 44 on my Balt...

I'm just hoping it won't sound like **** or anything, does anyone have one on thier Balt?

I'm on a bit of a tight budget, so I'm not looking for a $1,000 exhaust system, just something to give it a little rumble.

flowmaster is risky on a 4 cylinder. try a straight through muffler which sounds so good.
skunk2 and buddy club are 2 companies that are amazing sounding and good performance.

lol I had a flowmaster on my cavalier, and I liked it alot, but the motor was different and ****.

I did hear a Camry a while back with a magnaflow and it sounded mean as ****...

I might just end up getting a GMPP catback exhaust but if not I'm going to look into a flowmaster... maybe Magnaflow I'm not sure.

also another question... how much of an improvement would I get if I ran a full GMPP exhaust with an SS Header, on my LS? power wise/ sound wise

As far as performance goes you'll feel a slight difference when it comes to acceleration but its not gonna be a big difference. Simiplest way to say it, you're barely gonna notice the difference. If you want some you can really feel get a 2.4 intake mani, cams or n2o. You'll be able to really feel those

I don't want ricy lol, I want something that isn't loud and doesn't make the car sound like a weed eater, I'm looking for a subtle deep tone but when I floor it I want it to sound like it has some *****... (eventhough it doesn't lol)

5-7 is bout right. As far as ricey goes megan isn't. I have a megan catback on my car now and its not ricey at all. Now loud is a different story.. Lol the megan is very loud. You want somethin that has a good deep tone then gets a lil louder when you floor it get magnaflow. You can get just a muffler and tip for around 100 off of ebay and that's magnaflow muffler and magnaflow 4" tip.

I beg to differ! Megan is indeed not ricey. It's one of the deepest sounding exhausts.

my tsudo is very quiet. i have the catback. i cut the muffler off, and am installing a skunk2 muffler. i put it over the piping and im welding it tommorow. i started it while my friend held it over the pipe and holy hell its loud and sounds deep. what ever u do GMPP, magnaflow, corsa, slp, are all great. for just a muffler i still reccomend skunk2 or buddy club and megan sounds good from what i hear. good luck with your choice!

I had a flowmaster on my 2.2 and it actually sounded really good. You can ask the guys from my car club, for a 2.2 it was suprisingly nice.
