Just installed an SS lip on the car that is black except for the front lip because I have had that for awhile now but will be getting it repainted. Here are some pics I took of it today

 

I was thinking about getting my lip kit painted black, but i think ill leave it as it.....

 

Nooo Paint it Orange

 

Makes the car look higher because the black hides the lip. Not the effect you are going for I am thinking.

omfg..i need to sell my damn wheels!!! everyone has them!!! i like it tho.. i was gonna do that before i painted the center part of my hood.

 

I personally love it. I am going with a black and orange theme with the car and it looks amazing in person. In pics tho it does look hidden because of the shadows on the ground but everyone that has seen in it person so far loves it. I do however respect everyones opinions cuz everyone has their own taste and to each their own. I have never seen anyone with these rims but now that I have them everyone that has them seems to be coming out of the woodwork. They are the new unknowns IMO which i avoided because everyone had. O well I still like them and only one other car has them around me that I know of

 

lol come to texas.. i just went to a show last month. 4 cars including mine had them.. if u look in the Wheel showoff thread ull see like 3 cars with em too..

That rear lip doesn't line up with the rear of the wheel well very good...

and how did you figure out where to drill the holes for the sideskirts?

 

I personally think the lip kit would look MUCH better painted to match the rest of the car. (orange)

You are correct the rear lip doesnt line up on the LS bumper. A member made a how to that has images that were not detailed stating that it lines up but the fact of the matter is that the SS rear lip doesnt line up on an LS. The SS bumper actually have more of an ass that the bumper sticks out a little further and as a result there is overhang into the wheel wells. However I do have an SS bumper that I am going to have painted orange and then will put the lip on it and everything will match up perfectly.

The side skirts are actually held on with double fast urethane tape that I got from my buddy that owns a body shop I put it where the clips would normally go and then then there is a screw in the front wheel well and a plastic push rivet in the rear well. The underside is held on with screws.

 

get a front black lip or it wont flow.

Gunmetal rims only look good on sliver and white cars. IMO

Finally got the front lip painted black to match the rest of it. Here are some pics of it all done. Plan to take better pics when the car is clean. It was raining today so these aren't the best.

 

How about the rear bumper? Did you throw on that ss one or is the lip still over hanging?

I had the SS bumper I had painted orange and then had all the lips repainted even tho the sides and rear where alreay black. Just need to get the SS wheel wells to complete it

Possibly. I have thought about it but might go with the RK Sport. Also I have an orange low pro that I am not using if your interested.

Thanks, it took longer than expected. My painter kept forgetting to take it off when doing the rest of the car. He finally had some free time this week to do it. The mustang with the riced out wing belongs to my roommate and no he didn't put it on. He purchased the car like it is now but he is redoing the body kit and wing among other things. He got it off a guy he works with for cheap who got it off of his god son therefore the reason for the 16yr old rice owner look

How much for the low pro, color and condition? If you're interested, I can trade my high rise for that low or just buy the low from you if I have to.

 

x2 !!!! Having it match the body color makes the car look lower/complete. I think painting the ground effects a diff. color takes away from car's look.
