My cowl hood finished

Well if any of you looked at my old old thread from a couple of years ago you know that I was just now able to make it home (out of the military) and finish my hood.

So long story short I did all the fab and welding getting everything as close to right as possible for the body shop. And today thank you to Stephen at Unique paint and body in Carrollton KY working wonders with a little bit of glass and paint the hood is complete.

I know some people don't care for the look but in my opinion if it sports an SS badge it should also sport an old school style cowl hood. none of this reverse cowl fast and furious vent hoods stuff.

at the moment I'm content but i am contemplating something for the hood like a stripe or design and am thinking of the lettering for the side of the lift.

Here are some pictures of it in the driveway I'll go for a ride this weekend and find somewhere better to snap a couple pics.

Looks good. I would have just merged it into the existing hood lines though.

lol well you're more than welcome to give it a shot.

I think the pictures don't show the way they blend together all that well. the nose smooths out nice and the back turns up in the cowl pretty much the only way I could make it without and english wheel and rounding the whole peice (which is not what I wanted)

Looks great. My only thing is. At the top of the cowl it looks a little square for such a round car

yeah who knows. If they actually wanted one I could make another one out of my old hood. but if not I'll just be the only one.
I don't even know how the process would go for them purchasing one to make a mold out of it. but if anyone is really interested by all means let the vendors know and I could have another knocked out in probably 2 weeks after agreement of cost and reception of deposit.
