My Emergency Lights

Heres a start to my Emergency light system. So far its a Whelen Slimlighter Super LED with both sides blue, I have a Whelen Hideaway 6 port power supply in my bedroom, waiting to install that with 2 clear hideaways in the headlights, and 2 clear for the rear reverse lights. Considering to put blue LED strobes in the grill, and considering to put a clear hideaway in each fog and have them interchange with the headlights.

Heres the video of what i got so far. More videos to come.

Usually you have to pass a probationary period then you are allowed to use lights on official business, but you have to follow a set of rules.

Not in my town, We have so much around here and we have to have at least 1 light. All we need is a blue light card and then we can have one, and they tell us no speeding no running red lights or stop signs and thats it. People pull right over when they see us coming through

i used to see SOO many people abuse their little blue light thing....theyd run lights and ****....would you lose the privilege if someone turned you in? (even though most people don't know that you're not supposed to do that stuff)

lol.....looks good man....glad i read you were in the fire dept. otherwise I wouldnt know why you'd put blue lights in there. but that'd be cool, none of the guys round here use a cobalt as their DD so i never get to seen one with FD lights in it, usually just jeeps and f-150's.

jesus. sure pulling someone over and impersonating a police officer is illegal. but having the lights in your car for 'show use only' isn't illegal.

If you are using them while the vehicle is running (in some places), in other places, the vehicle has to be moving, before it is illegal.

Very cool!

Well, in New York state it states that a firefighter is aloud one blue light mounted in the windshield. Now my town allows us to have more becuase we are alloud to drive to the scene in our personal cars and i know alot of towns are alloud to.

The whole thing with going to jail they cant put you in jail unless you dont have a blue light card, your fd id, and your fd badge. I have all 3.

For show use you can have and anyone could have one, just cant use it while driving thats all.

I think in NJ or CT they allow the firefighters one red light in the windshield, but have to take it down while driving everyday. So when i enter both states i have to take mine down from the window
