my interior sucks
I need ideas, my interior is stock besides a b&m shifter. I drive my car alot and I want to make my interior more enjoyable to be in. What are some of your suggestions to make it better? Budget is around 300, I was thinking a double din but I'm not even sure I could buy the map software for 300 dollars
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
ps- I won't paint my interior red, TASTEFUL enhancements

This, how is the condition of your carpet? Maybe get new carpet, it's around $150 from the dealer. Or just save up more monies and get a double din nav unit. You can pick up a Pioneer AVIC-X910bt on ebay for around $600. Or if you don't need nav get the pioneer avh p3100 dvd, which is in your price range. Sadly there really isn't a whole lot that you can do with our interior, it's kinda bland as we all know.

My interior is mint, minus floormats. Completely forgot about the ss mats I have it bookmarked on my laptop, thanks!
The pioneer avh p3100 is around my price range? Sorry I'm on my phone so I can't check but if it is that would be a great addition!

Ya they can be picked up new from online for just under 300. Don't forget your gonna need the dash kit and wiring harness though. It's a really nice unit, I had one for a while and eventually wanted nav so I sold it.

boosted- I'm sure that HU is 1000 dollars lol, I've been contemplating the pillars and headliner. Recommend any paint to use for them?
Tommyp- thanks yeah I know about the dash kit and harnesses , luckily I'm an 06 so it will be a little cheaper. I think I found eveything I would need for a HU for like 60 or 70 bucks

get some LED's, fuzzy dice, some triple gauge pods, dye your ehadliner or wrap it in a crazy fabric, maybe project your speedo on the windshield like Corvette's, ya know, **** like that. Hand some bamboo shades on your windows or something.
or, wrap you interior in Carbon Fiber, get a nice set of mats, reapolster things, things like that

i used basecoat with hardner....perks of being in a body shop. id say send the stuff to me if you want lol. go take a look at my build thread all my interior pics are in there. i see a lot of guys using the duplicolor stuff. my only recommendations is get some gold scotch brite pads with some prep paste to scuff and clean the plastic. apply adhesion promotor before putting any paint on aswell.
i dunno what your taste is like... but i saw this and i was thinking about doing it.

I love working out of my house, much more comfortable than doing details at the shop. Then again the shops cars I work on usually bring me a little more money. Move out here and well start a shop! Lol
SEM Colorcoat for interior plastic pieces! Works BEAUTIFULLY. SEM makes great products. Deifntily follow what boosted said, scotch bright, adhesion promoter, spray. But the SEM colorcoat really holy up fantastic on interior pieces. Landau black is what you want, code 15013:

everything you see in this picture was sprayed with that same stuff, including headliner.

i placed my turbocharger badge under the small SS on the dashboard, i like it...and everyone who gets in my car always looks at it and touches it and says how good it looks, and everytime it catches my eye i stare at it lol...only interior mod i have

you will need more then 1 can to do a headliner and sunroof though, 1 can will be plenty for pillars but if your working on fabric, you need like 4 to do all the fabric on the headliner, sunvisors, and sunroof cover since that **** has to soak into the fabric and takes alot more to cover then just a rigid plastic part

Seats will make the biggest diff in the interior but i know you can't do that.
My 2 cents. Redo the headliner and pillar pieces, new floor mats, door sills, e-brake and shift boot, a new deck. If you don't wanna paint your dash trim red, how about just clear coat them and make them gloosy silver. On the floor mats maybe add a color trim ring on them. Paint the bezel around the speedo cluster and even inside the cluster itself. You could also paint pieces from the center console.
I have lots to do on the 4dr. It has alot of the crap grey interior and I want mostley black. I'll be painting and dying alot of pieces and adding more color.
