my interior sucks
I need ideas, my interior is stock besides a b&m shifter. I drive my car alot and I want to make my interior more enjoyable to be in. What are some of your suggestions to make it better? Budget is around 300, I was thinking a double din but I'm not even sure I could buy the map software for 300 dollars
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
ps- I won't paint my interior red, TASTEFUL enhancements

I do interior trim painting if you don't mind sendin it to me and givin me about a week to work on it. I'm working on Shibito's interior stuff now. If not, I can give you some good tips on painting it to where it's near indestructable lol I've painted quite a bit of dash trim stuff for other ppl before and I can do just about anything you want done. As far as other stuff, headliner is always good. If all of that is somethin ur not quite interested in...I would get a new shift boot and ebrake handle and boot if it were me

Seats will make the biggest diff in the interior but i know you can't do that.
My 2 cents. Redo the headliner and pillar pieces, new floor mats, door sills, e-brake and shift boot, a new deck. If you don't wanna paint your dash trim red, how about just clear coat them and make them gloosy silver. On the floor mats maybe add a color trim ring on them. Paint the bezel around the speedo cluster and even inside the cluster itself. You could also paint pieces from the center console.
I have lots to do on the 4dr. It has alot of the crap grey interior and I want mostley black. I'll be painting and dying alot of pieces and adding more color.

Ur gonna laugh, but I use Krylon Fusion. Stuff dries quick, bakes well, and ends up durable as what. Ya know those stupid little cell phone holders that attach to your dash with the foam double sided sticky tape crap? Yea, had that on some trim I painted before and it didn't mess up my trim at all when I decided to peel and rip and tear it off. Kinda surprised me actually lol
DEFINITELY get leds for your map lights. Brightens everything up and looks soooo good at night time when you unlock your car. Haha. Size 194 wedge bulbs. They fit the license plate light too.

Good idea i have the white 194 led's in the license plate already!
I never have. Give said pieces a good scuffing up with a green scouring pad or steel wool, spray primer, and paint. The trick is not in the paint...its in the clear. Alot of ppl that paint their trim stuff ignore that part or just don't do it correctly. There's a reason that they started putting clear coat on cars when they hadn't for many years...

Thanks for the info!
I'm sure they didn't have you in mind when they did this lol Ur just one of the smart ones to take advantage of it. If you want a full process breakdown, PM me and I'll give you the steps I go thru. Also, depends on what you want as a finish goes...flat, semi gloss, high gloss
The map lights are a BITCH to get out. If you're having trouble pulling them out by hand, take a zip tie, tighten it but not all the way. Put the loop around the bulb, tighten it more then just yank it out. The leds should just be able to be pushed right in no problem.
I've been thinking about black crushed velvet... but I'm not sure if I'm serious about that lol. My dad has blue crushed velvet in his '75 GMC truck and I've always kinda liked it but I have a feeling it might look weird.
But 194 led's are definitely a worth while interior upgrade!
