My New Front License Plate Mod

Well if your like me, my state requires me to have a front plate. I hated how it was centered over my intercooler so i decided to install this new license plate hide-away. Install was a cake and it works wonders. Not to fond of the location but it was the only place were it wouldnt block my intercooler. This allows me to hide it when in other states or car shows/track nights.

Enjoy

oh i was going to say that would be cool, fly by a cop, and he does not see it there, then slam on the breaks one time pretty good. then he inspects it, and BAM, its there.

I like the idea, and its definitely a nice touch since you are required to have it.

I do have one question. If you have no intention of driving with it up, why not put it in the middle? I mean, you arent going to have it up anyway, so why not have it centered when you do have it up?

Becuase in the middle there is no place to mount it. Where its mounted now, i was able to mount the back of the slider to the bottom of my intercooler.

That's pretty sweet, but for $54 it's made of metal right? lol. I mean they had them in my mall like a year or so ago for like $10 and I was contemplating buying one, but it was made of shitty plastic that felt like it was about to break just by blowing on it.

I don't care for the location either but you really didn't have much of a choice. They require front license plates here as well and I think I might pick something like this up one day and fill in the mounting holes on my bumper, or just get a ss one or soemthing.

Will it survive speed bumps or curbs? I doubt it would rip off, but I would be worried about it hanging underneath the car.

Love the Idea though. I wish Nebraska didn't require front plates, I would be ripping mine off this afternoon if they didn't.

It dosnt sit to low, i can get buy easily. The slider is solid metal ad the plate holder is hard ABS plastic.

Yes I am, im on 17's which sits me high enough to get over everything. I avoid big hills where the bottom is flat.
