My reverse light went out
My reverse light went out
So im looking for the brightest 194 LED i can get. I have some wedge ones in there but they are small and were made for the angel eyes on my gen1 projectors.
Anyone have any ideas? I dont want to solder an led ring in either. Just the BRIGHTEST white light.

Well, the reverse light isn't a 194, so I don't know what the deal is with that, but whatever. If you want good LED bulbs, I recommend http://www.v-leds.com as all my LED bulbs are from them. I actually buy through their eBay store. I've bought bulbs from them numerous times, always turn out good. Here's a few shots of my car using the SMT bulbs they have:

The reverse lights are indeed the 194s. I put them in there... they just arent bright enough. I used the inverted wedge style however, so im going with straight SMT to see if it makes a difference.

That's a 194 on the left, a 921 in the middle, and a 921 SMT LED bulb on the right.
Well we found your problem then. The reverse lights are not meant to use 194 bulbs. Yes they'll fit, because the base of the bulbs is the same, but 194s are way too dim to be used as reverse lights. The proper bulb is a 921, which is much bigger. See below.
