Need Opinions: Dash Remodel

So i'm bored at work... and I hate the way our center console looks like a plastic toy...

So here is the run down...

I am very comfortable with fiberglass work (I'm a member on fiberglassforums.com and have been for years.). I also am very comfortable with Carbon Fiber and epoxy work. The part I lack is the design.

After looking and looking, this is what I came up with for an idea.

I will fiberglass the center console into one piece adding the width and height. The Center plastics I will be trimming and adding to the top cover of the dash cover...

I have it planned out in my head, but wanted others opinions.

This dash looks very similar to ours in my opinion.

Am i wrong though? The vents look like they line up almost perfect. Maybe slight routing adjustments needed. The Shift knob is very close to the same place....

I don't think it would be too terribly hard.

By the way thats a Porsche Cayenne Gts... sadly with an automatic.

it does look very similar

i think you should just design something yourself... see how it works out

if it does, awesome

if it doesnt, try again lol

I don't want to go extreme and glass the whole dash because I want to keep the car low-key. I want to upgrade to something nice, but not something that stands out to invite people to break into the car. I have a lot of car audio done (Not as much as Emp does, but a lot) that I don't want stolen.

So this to me is a higher quality interior compared to our plastic mold made interiors.

People can hate on the idea. Because it's getting wrapped in material for a final product, I don't think it will be that hard to fuse the two differnt styles together and make it look good.

One thing I have to look into is how much room do I really have to play with on the console.
