need opinions on set of rims

one of the first tings i want to do, when spring comes, is get a decent sized, decent looking, decent priced set of rims...

came across these on eBay, been trying to picture them on my cobalt for weeks, just curious what other people think, or if someone has 'em some pics would be helpful...

edit: should prolly post the rims

A little to much chrome... besides... our cars are on a racing/performance platform...

Putting that much chrome on the car, turns it from sporty/performance to slow/"gangsta" look... LMAO!!

But, then again, its your car, so you do what you think looks good. Thats what makes all our cars... unique. Just think about the look you give off... I would would much rather have some kid look over and say, "Wow, that looks awesome, black wheels... looks fast." Rather than, "Nice rims... you trying to be gangsta."

i know what your saying, i wanna stay as far away from potential "rice" as well...although my car isnt a racer, more of a sporty cruiser (2.2)...just lookin for a clean, sporty look to go with the laser blue, sunroof, low profile spoiler, and 5 spd...with whatever rims i get ill also wanna get it dropped an inch or two...

It will look good no matter what...

But, you have to think about the genre of your vehicle...

Sport, does not equal chrome...

Sport equals hard look, gun-metal grey, black, gold for the STi... so forth...

Just buy wisely... cause once you do... it will be a bitch to take them back...

Like I tell everyone at my job... Buy what you will satisfied with for 2 years... cause thats how long your contract is...

In your case... buy wisely... for you will have them for years upon years...

I think the stock rims fit it the best. I wish they made the rims from the 272 cobalt. They look so much like HRE's. Now those are expensive rims.

I actually think they would look great on a blue car. As it has been said in previous posts, it really depends on what look you are going for and your other plans for your car. I don't think they look 'gansta' since they are fairly simple chrome 5 spoke rims and there is nothing fundamentaly different between those and the ones on the 272 Cobalt. Add some more surface area to the rim and it gets 'gansta'. I think a nicely waxed blue car with chrome wheels will be an eye catcher. Gun metal rims or the black chrome would look awesome too.

Since you brought it up and are so damn sensitive about it I'll post the thread link so he can look at it and see.

pay attention to my posts. I never made fun of you or your choice to get those wheels. You seriously need to relax and enjoy the forum. The little temper tantrum your throwing is funny though. You could have and should have dropped the comments about getting 15's after you got harrassed about them in your post.
Personally, I think you are trying. Now quit acting like a child and move on. It's your car and you have to live with the choices you make with it, just like everything else in life.
