Unhappy Need to replace SS Front Bumper

At a red light. I jump my car into the back of another car. Thank god that it only hit a hitch. But I have a huge hole in my bumper. Where is the cheapest place to get a replacement? or Should I get the hole filled and repainted?

I dried it off the best I could. The rain isnt letting up. Sorry if they are huge. The water makes it look as if my paint job is jacked. But that is the only thing wrong with the bumper.

well, just saying, take the dumb ass remark that makes you look like a cocky idiot out of your sig and youll stop getting stupid responses, in all seriousness though, no pics...nothing to go on, youll have to go to a body shop and have it estimated on repair, get that then look at the cost of a new one plus paint if needed and compare, lowest price takes it

Im sorry but your asking for a response like that when you have a sig like you do.

Judging by this thread and your sig, sell your car and use whats called a bus, its safer for you and everyone on the roads

haha just playing, need pics to see if its repairable, more then likly you will need to/cheaper to get a new bumper

It looks like it can be repaired, im not body shop expert though, but it may be cheaper to buy a new bumper.

Take it to a body shop and get a quote and see

We don't let peeps like that on the track, we expect that our racers will follow the rules and show some evidence that they can safely operate a vehicle at high rates of speed.

Yea I would take it to the track if it wasn't 2 to 3 hours away. Plus it was a dead night.

soldering iron

Get your self a blow dryer from your moms bathroom. Heat it up from the front side. Take your hand from behind and push it out to make it level and flush. Take a cheap 10.00 Soldering Iron and use the tip to mold the crack together. It will look like crap and feel like crap to the touch. Take some 180 Grit sandpaper and got over until it is smooth. Then Go to Oriellys and ask for some Body filler you only need a very small can. Preferably light weight. Then fill in the rought spot. If you fill this entire thing with filler it will crack. The only way to repair the crack is to solder it. Take and sand the filler down with 180 if you sand with 80 it will leave scratch marks which will be hard to remove. Sand the area with 220 and Prime the area. Tape it off they have green tape at Oreillys as well. Dont be afraid. The body shop will tell you need to replace it. If you need a bumper and its not the SS I cannot see pic while typing this. Go to Certifit.com. They have what you need other than SS parts. Get Oriellys to mix you up a can of your paint in a spray can. This should cost you less than 60.00 to fix If you need help pm me.

I owned and operated a body shop in DesMoines Before I moved to Kc. I was sick and tired of bodyshops telling people they need to replace their bumper. I would go through the mall parking lots when business was slow and quote people on their front and rear bumpers. I can remove just about any bump or dent in plastic most without paint as long as it was not cracked.
