I have a victory red Cobalt. I was thinking about putting on a black SS spoiler, tinting the windows the darkest I can legally, getting the RK sport lip kit in black, getting black Halos, niteshading rear and front lights, and getting a black stripe that goes from big to small, back to front respectively. Also, I'm getting black Kyowa rims, 5-spoke, like Beck's. Does anyone else think this'll look good? In my head it looks good but things can always look alot different in person.

I second ^-. It's going to make your car look rice even though the parts you mentioned really aren't. Just imagine a Green 98 Civic with a poorly installed bodykit that the owner never got around to saving enough money to paint it. The bodykit lines won't follow in completely from bumper to bumper and it's going to look as if you pulled the kit out of another car and never bothered to get it painted.

If you choose to paint the lowerpart of your car black and leave the top red then that's a whole different story. Personally I wouldn't do it to my car, but I can attest to the fact that it does look really good.

 

So if I kept the lip kit red, how about the rest? Keep spoiler red too?

 

^^yup, they nailed it. good parts looking like rice. go with the paint man, trust me. you'll like it once it's done. plus, you can't see how nice cars look when they're black!!!! thats why i go blue or red

 

So in that case, should I even bother Niteshading or the black stripe? Can't convince me not to tint though. lol

 

yes, def tint and the nightshades would still look very good yes. but i dunno about the strip, i'm more of a two tone guy, but i've seen some very nice stripes. but please for your sake and every other cobalt owners' sake. NO VINYLE!!!! paint it if you're going to do it. it's worth the money.

 

Alright, thanks for the help! This is why I wanted opinions before I blew hundreds of dollars and then it turns out shitty. Like I said, thinking of things can be alot different than when you see them in person because now that I think about it after the input, it does seem hella ricey to me. Also, as far as the stripe, I did plan on doing a paint. A sticker on my baby would make me cry. lol

 

you wouldn't be the only one crying, but if you ever want to put a sticker on there i know this place called cobaltss.netand they have some pretty badass looking logo stickers, i would recomend them

 

lol. Decals is one thing. I can understand those. But a stripe sticker? lol That's like putting a "ZOMG MY KID = STRAIGHT A's. YOUR KID = *******" bumper sticker on your car. I tell my kid "I like the sticker. Go stick it on mommy's car."
