neon light removal question

Ive decided to remove my neon lights of my cobalt and I was wondering if there is any thing I should do about the holes to prevent rusting or if I need to do any thing at all, thanks.

If you're removing them temporarily, vinyl patches would work.

If they're off for good... you could probably get someone to do a quick weld patch then paint.
