Thumbs down Never usin Duplicolor Ever again!

So I'm paintin my valve cover, an intake/ic pipes & a couple trim pieces, an I'm bout good, I jus have to clear coat em.. cool. I bust out my Duplicolor Perfect Match clear coat, shake it up an get to work..

As soon as I start sprayin, this thing starts drippin on everything as I'm sprayin, spurtin, goin in an out.. Watever, I shake it up some more an its fine.

on my second coat, it starts actin up again, an drippin, squirtin on everything() I cleaned off the nozzle a bunch of times, but it never helped, towards the end of my second coat, it starts actin like its bout empty, which it wasnt.

I shake, shake, shaaaaaake tha **** out of it an it does get some paint out, but not how it's supposed to . It was jus squirtin the liquid out like a spray gun

so now I got about 2 shitty coats of clear on my ****, an my trim pieces & VC got a buncha spots from where they got dripped on, an crazy paint on

This isn't the first time I had problems with duplicolor stuff, and I've looked online and a lot of other people seem to have these same problems 2, *** this madness man, never again will I use Duplicolor anything an risk my **** gettin fucked up. NEVEEVVERRRR

Is it super noticeable? Or do you have to be looking at it a certain way from a certain angle?

but for anybody that was wonderin, I ended up jus slappin the **** in anyway.. my valve cover wasn't 2 bad, I fixed it up to where its barely noticeable. My interior trim on the other hand... this one guy said "oh hey thats cool" but it's pretty shitty.. I haz no more clear so I didn't wanna mess with it 2 much, BUT I did find about a half a can of some duplicolor clear back from when I redid my headlights(maybe 4-5 months ago) but meeeehhh.. Ima jus wait it out till I go get some new ****

but anyway.. onto the pics...

my valve cover came out ok tho

gonna tweak it a lil more soon..

Rustoleum isn't all that bad - except I am sure to save a couple of the tips from the good cans I've bought, because I've had more than a couple crap cans. I keep 'em in the little tray on my tool box - when I'm done with a "good" can, I immediately pull the tip, stick it on a can of carb cleaner, and spray it clean, then set it aside.

Sounds ****, but I've saved more than one can by swapping the sprayers - and nothing sucks hairy ball quicker than being at the end of a project with a dripping piece of **** can of clear!

In their defense, though, I bought a custom pre-mixed set of color and clear from a very reputable online dealer of custom mixed paint, and their stuff was half-crap as well. Even the good stuff can end up in defective cans.

I wanted to mention that Valspar makes a "high end" spray paint. I only ever seen it at Lowes but the tips are TERRRIBLE. They spit and drip like mad. Stay away from those too.
