New HIDs in!

8000k FYI...oh yeah...forgot to mention that only the driver side was installed because it got too late. I'm doing the passenger side tomorrow.

Thanks guys. I'm going to put the passenger side in today, and then tonight I'm going to aim them. I'll let you know how much they light up the road. I know some people worry about the light output past 6000k. I was very pleased with them!

light output dosnt get to much dimmer after 6K actually its 5300 is the brightest you can get, anything higher in the kelvin scale is actually dimmer. 8k is pretty "smurf" colored but not that bad, i have seen 12k on a daily driver....in reflectors... now thats bad.

theres no issues with running them in the stock headlights as long as you dont aim them straight in the air

people always say you must have projectors to use HIDs which is untrue... you wont blind people or cause an annoying glare if you dont aim the headlights up in the air... like everybody that lives around me does lol

does that clear what i was trying to say up ?

there will always be way more glare and useless light for HID's in reflectors housings as opposed to projectors where they belong.

Yeah. I've heard the same thing too. I'm going tomorrow night to my buddy's apartment. There are a lot of white walls where I can park my car in front of to aim. I'll take a picture then. To give you an idea though, the cutoff is kind of like a check mark. It's flat in the middle..then the sides shoot up.

ya the cutoff on those are weird, completely different style from the first gens, there aimed slightly different with the line in the middle being even on both headlights and the edge going up. allot of luxery cars have this style cutoff. mine is the other classic style that i LOVE.

mine are ___________/------------------______________/-----------------

Alright...so I was driving tonight with the new lights and on bumps I could see the light on the street move around too...like the light was moving. I know the light is a little loose inside...but the only movement it can do is spin around...I know for a fact that it can't come out. The bulb was just a little different in size so the clamp that holds the bulb down didn't fit perfect. Is this ok that the light moves? If not, what can I put in there to keep it still? Some kind of glue or something?

Actually, 4300k is the brightest you can get.

Anyone running HID's notice a drop in battery voltage at idle?
