Thanks for the compliment... didn't mean to steal your thread with the pic there LOL.

Mine is daily driven... though my typical commute is only 30 miles round trip.
The stainless trim and powder coating hold up very well to dust and dirt... and it didn't cost that much to do. I just take a pressure washer and clean it up every month... keeps it looking good.

do you cover or tape anything before you pressure wash it? I’m afraid to pressure wash mine

i never have (covered anything)and my car runs fine..or did before i blew #4 piston racing...everything is pretty much rain proof so dont soak it in one spot but spraying it down is fine

Nope... I don't cover up a thing. It's not like you spend 10 minutes under the hood blasting every surface... just a couple of quick passes with the pressure spray is enough to get rid of all but the most stubborn dust and dirt... and the engine is typically warm when I do it (have to drive to the car wash) so the water drys rapidly.

Never had a problem.

Now I don't use soap or anything... if something really nasty is stuck under there I'll spritz it with a little simple green and scrub it if necessary... but the majority of the time the water only does the job.

hmm... it should be ok... the coil packs are screwed down on there so they seal up very tight...

again I wouldn't hose it for an extended period of time... but a few quick passes back and forth shouldn't hurt a thing.

if you have an aftermarket intake i would cover the filter. especially if its short ram (more for the 2.2/2.4 guys).

a valid point... covering the filter on your short-ram is a good idea... wrap a plastic bag around it.
