Exclamation newly installed Hids help?!

so i ordered 6000k HIDs from TopHid.com and followed the write up exactly - the relay. but my problem is my low beams are dimmer then my stock lights and not at all hid and my high beams are the beautiful blue that i ordered.

did i just order from the wrong compant or are all low beams the same bulb on hids?

Will projectors help brighten up the crappy low beam?

is there another bulb or kit i can order where both low and high beam are HID?

Did you get a hi/lo kit? If it's not a hi/lo kit then only the low beams would be HID and the High beams might not work at all. I got the Hi/Lo raptor kit off ddmtuning.com and installed it friday, I reversed the plug first time around and when I flicked the hi beams I got lows lol, you probably did the same thing...

yeah its a high low kit but the highs are HID and the lows are just a bulb pluged into the hid they just look like regular headlights but much dimmer

are the lows supposed to be hids and the highs suck?

I don't think so... my HID bulb is like... one bulb for highs and lows. I heard if it's not a high/low kit then you completely lose the high beams... not sure what is going on with yours though, maybe call the company you got them from and send um back? I donno what else to tell you :P

If your highs are blue it sounds like you have your wires switched

it sounds as if you've got things backwards. I'm gonna bet your pulling power outta the OE harness from the wrong spots.

ok, before you continue this ignorance is bliss mind set. take the wires the "plug" into the factory harness and swap them.

The ones most people have on this site are from 3bspec.

You can either get a kit with a halogen high beam attached to the hid or a bi-xenon kit with hi/low hids. I never use my highs hardly so the ones with the halogen attached work just fine.

I can't really think of a solution to your problem, good luck though.

What you need to get the effect you're going for is projector headlights and 2 hid kits and then you need to wire them to both be on when you hit your highs.
