night shade tails....not a normal thread about them

like the title says, its not the normal question about them.

the other day i got pulled over for my tails being tinted and he said they are fine since you can still see the light through them, BUT i either have to take it off or add reflectors to the back of my car so what i thought is, a reflective chevy emblem. anyone got any other ideas? i didnt do my third brake light and thought about painting a stripe down the middle and dividing it in half to where i have my 2 reflective lights.

Get racing stripes made out of the reflective material they put on stop signs.

Yeah really. On my old car I had 5 % tints all around and got a few tickets for them but it just looked too good so I didn't even really care about the tickets. Be a man!

do you have to fix it and then have it singed off by a cop or inspected?

all i got was a warning since i was in city limits and it was a trooper, he also checked my window tint and told me that 17% is way below the legal limit and i need to change it before someone else stops me for it, which i already have been in another town by a ***** of a trooper he followed me half way across town just to pull me over for my tint. im thinking the 3rd break light should be enough since i didnt tint it.

if you didn't get a ticket, i wouldn't worry about it & leave well enough alone until you do happen to get one. if u get one it's just an R&R so just swap parts or sand the VHT off for the inspection, then go home and put it right back on

That reflective emblem is a good idea. You could get some yellow / gold reflective tape and do your bowtie, it could turn out good.

the reflective emblem would be more of a kiss my ass to the cops lol. he just said some sort of reflector on the back. so... thats what im going to do. at least someone thinks like i do, besides one traffic violation and its off to county for 7 years and i got a baby on the way... removing my window tint sucks since its not hurting anyone to not be able to see me. probably helps them
