Finally installed my shorty antenna! BUT while doing so I've noticed that my wiring to the bottom of the antenna is about to come off any way on fixing that? Or do i have to go to the dealer and get a new cord and everything..







Here's the wire.. this is before we put it on and it looks a lot worse now..

Doesn't look like you screwed the antenna on all the way. At least you didn't break yours off like I did with mine...

 

I HAVE the same issue... i think i need a whole new antenna-radio wire because i have the SHITTIEST reception... o well the radio sucks anyway mp3-xm mod FTW!!!!

Why did you remove the whole assembly to put a shorty on...? I don't understand..

 

That's as far as we could get it.. I didn't wanna scratch it up so we left it at that.

yeah! I had some electric tape holding it, but now it cuts in and out and now its mostly all static. And what mod did you do??

RC..radio control.. lol I thought my car always looked like an RC car with that long antenna

I couldn't get a grip on the little piece so I just pulled the whole thing out, kinda glad I did because I noticed the tear in the wire, but then I made it worse so I need a new one.


Anyone know a way to fix it.. would soldering work??
