you CAN rattle can it, just dont ask me to redo it for you with rattle can on ur bumper. Had bad experiences. If you rattle can it, sand it with 400 grit untill THERE IS NO GLOSS LEFT ON THE PARTS YOU ARE GOING TO SPRAY. GLOSS IS BAD. After your done sanding id still go over it with a scotch pad just to make sure everything is scuffed up good still. Then use the Duplicolor Automotive paint youll find in autozone or something. Just get something that says automotive if you can. And then clearcoat over it to protect against rock chips. If you want a flat color, put flat clear over it. You will thank me later

from your pics, it looks like you should have followed gestapo's advice...

tape edges are shitty, and the worst part is between the bottom lip and the lower crossbar... look at all the yellow around the supports!

Rattle can jobs do suck... if done poorly. But I've seen full paint jobs done on cars and didn't know it was done with a rattle can until told. It's a different technique and takes a little practice.

Oh yeah... and tape edges do suck.

his tape lines are actually excellent. I dont see the yellow your talking about but he didnt do it the way I do them and spray the entire inside of the intercooler area black.

Rattle can sucks period as far as durability, longevity, adhesion, UV protection, and shine. But for a cheap mod if prepped right, taped right, and using the best possible rattle can you can find, you can wind up with a decent looking result that should last a long time

Btw... I was speaking of tape edges in general. Sometimes they bleed through and make you touch up.

idk about the tape edges but they seem good to me and everyone else that have seen it in person. i agree with u on the botton lip because at the beigining it came out really good and over tume it began to chip since i couldnt really sand it perfect and do it alittle better. but u have to be like really damm close to it to see them...either way am sending the whole bumper to get repainted again cuz some old lady scrashed it leaving outta a parking lot so ill have it professionally done for next time

i dunno how i feel about sport red tint. I think that color with chrome stockers dropped real low is SUCH a clean looking car. Adding too much black takes away from it IMHO. Those cars with chrome wheels dropped and dark window tint and chrome headlights looks amazing

Nahh, you got it all wrong.. Since the sport red is already a dark shade it goes great with black. Just the right amount of contrast. looks even better at night when the car looks like a black metallic. I had chrome projectors and the stock wheels up until a little while ago, and I thought it looked like ass. But to each his own...

Haha cool man. The orange really turned out nice on your car. I have been following the thread and it was a great paint job.

My dad just painted his 73' Bronco II orange and it turned out pretty good.

do you guys think duplicolor satin black wheel paint will hold up to the test of time if prepped properly? I don't want an overly shiny finish I want, well satin ... adding the wheel clear would protect more i know but i want to avoid a glossy a look. or what would you recommend for a proper paint to do this? (in a rattle can that is...) Thanks!
